CCPA Community Partnerships

The CCPA has developed a rich partnership with several area non-profits.

We have multiple community service events throughout the school year that build on the students’ commitment to philanthropy. These events include, but are not limited to:

Hunger Awareness & Action Week, a week-long service learning program that also contributes funds and goods to local food banks.

Halloween & Valentine’s Day Greeting Cards with Casa Pacifica, an opportunity for students to directly give back to children in our community.

Holiday “Doves” with Casa Pacifica, an opportunity for students and their families to make a child’s holiday wish come true.

We also raise funds and collect goods/supplies for local charities. The charities we support vary each year and have included Ride OnPlay Conejo (CRPD)Operation GratitudeBaby BuggyMy Stuff Bags FoundationBoys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo ValleyRotary Dreamcatcher PlaygroundHaiti Healthcare Partners, and many more. Charity representatives are invited to share their mission in an effort to raise awareness and educate our students and their families.

In 2018-19, we made tremendous impact through our dynamic Community Outreach programs. With your generosity, we were able to donate the following:

  • $4,652 for Oak Forest Estates.  Our donation benefited children in the Oak Forest community whose families lost their homes and belongings during the Woolsey Fire.
  • $1,320 for Blind Children’s Learning Center, a foundation dedicated to preparing children with visual impairments for a life of independence through early intervention, education and family support.

We also collected 1 Ton of food for Manna Food Bank; Donated pantry items to Ronald McDonald House, Los Angeles; Made 300 Halloween & Valentine’s Day Cards and sponsored 185 Holiday Wishes for Casa Pacifica; Collected 330 lbs of Halloween candy & made cards for Operation Gratitude to benefit our Troops; Wrote Thank You notes to our local firefighters involved with fighting the Woolsey Fire.

We teach compassion not only with words, but with action.
