CCPA Community Partnerships

CCPA Community Partnerships

The CCPA has developed a rich partnership with several area non-profits.

We have multiple community service events throughout the school year that build on the students' commitment to philanthropy. These events include, but are not limited to:

Hunger Awareness & Action Week, a week-long service learning program that also contributes funds and goods to local food banks.

Halloween & Valentine's Day Greeting Cards with Casa Pacifica, an opportunity for students to directly give back to children in our community.

Holiday "Doves" with Casa Pacifica, an opportunity for students and their families to make a child's holiday wish come true.

We also raise funds and collect goods/supplies for local charities. The charities we support vary each year and have included Ride On, Play Conejo (CRPD)Operation Gratitude, Baby BuggyMy Stuff Bags FoundationBoys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo ValleyRotary Dreamcatcher PlaygroundHaiti Healthcare Partners, and many more. Charity representatives are invited to share their mission in an effort to raise awareness and educate our students and their families.

In 2016-17, we made tremendous impact through our dynamic Community Outreach programs. With your generosity, we were able to donate the following:

  • $2,511 for Flying Kites of Kenya which will provide the children of their community-at-large 3 meals a day for over 4 months!
  • $1,003 for Cancer Fit, Inc. of Thousand Oaks. Our donation benefited local child cancer survivors. Children receive 3 months of training to get them back on track to living a normal childhood.
  • $1,128 for The Mighty Underdogs of Malibu, a local charity that provides ongoing ocean & surf therapy to those with special needs.

We also collected 2,700 lbs of food for Manna Conejo Valley; Donated diapers & wipes to families in need via Good+ Foundation; Created 700 handmade Halloween & Valentine's Day cards and sponsored 150 Holiday Wishes for the children of Casa Pacifica; Collected 322 lbs of candy and made thank you cards for Operation Gratitude to benefit our troops.

We teach compassion not only with words, but with action.
