Welcome to Carden Conejo School

Message From Ms. Lisa Macias-Flavin: “As Teacher Appreciation marks the end of the current year, planning begins for the upcoming school year. We all know the upcoming school year will pose unique challenges not seen before. There is much to explain, and I’m sure you have questions for me, so I would like to invite you to attend a virtual Town Hall meeting. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00 pm in the evening. The meeting will be limited to Carden Conejo community members only. Pre-registration is required. Here is the link to pre-register for the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_z1YNK6uhRFCgqEcw1yprsg

During the meeting, I would like to address plans for the upcoming school year, plans for summer break and answer any questions you might have. Mr. Fleming will act as moderator. The Town Hall Meeting will be recorded for viewing later in case you are unable to attend live.”

Carden Conejo is a truly unique school. We are an independent, non-religious school serving students from Pre-school through 5th grade. We develop the whole child by instilling the importance of manners and morals, providing a rigorous academic curriculum and hand-picking a staff that knows each child by name. We serve approximately 180 students on a beautiful, serene eight acre campus.

The school campus is temporarily closed to visitors. As soon as the Ventura County Health Department allows parents to come back on to the physical campus, we will give in-person tours. In the meantime, please enjoy the “virtual tour” of our beautiful campus.

At Carden Conejo, we believe that…

  • Children should know how to think.
  • Being a good person matters.
  • Exceptional reading and writing skills are powerful.
  • Strong Math, Science and Technology programs open limitless future opportunities.
  • The fine arts are a necessity.
  • Classrooms should be subject specific with appropriate space and materials.
  • The school environment directly impacts learning.
  • Students benefit from small classes taught by gifted, passionate teachers.

If you share these beliefs, I encourage you to come see our school. Come see our classrooms, play spaces and our teachers in action. Come see all that a Carden Education has to offer.
