Jog-a-thon / Junior Jog-a-thon

The Jog-a-thon / Jr. Jog-a-thon event is the Carden Conejo Parents’ Association’s (CCPA) primary fundraiser for the year. This event allows our students to raise funds for their school, while promoting wellness and fitness.

The 2016-17 Jog-a-thon will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

During the 2015-16 school year, our community raised $62,678.00 in support of our multi-year Outdoor Improvement Plan. With your generosity, we were able to complete Phase I and Phase II, which included the installation of a new Primary School Play Structure and the addition of new equipment to update the 3rd - 5th Grade Playground.

This year, our goal is to provide a new, more engaging play structure for the Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Playground. Our original playground equipment dates from the 1980's and is in need of replacement. Phase III: the K-2nd Playground, is our largest, most heavily-used playground and this goal is our biggest to-date. We thank you for your support as we improve our outdoor space phase-by-phase.

If we are unable to realize this goal, some funds will be set aside for the K-2nd Grade playground to be completed in future year(s). The remainder of the funds will include improvements and experiences such as: Science, Arts & Cultural enrichment programs for the Elementary & Primary School students; Outdoor enhancements like shaded lunch tables, "buddy" benches, outdoor seating, and a butterfly learning garden.


Funds are also raised through employer's Matching Gift Programs. Check HERE to see if your donation can potentially be doubled. Many companies, including Amgen and Bank of America, will match their employees' donations and volunteer time to qualified 501(c)3 organizations like the CCPA.
